![]() ![]() If you have a flesh wound, and you just put some gauze on it, that doesn't fix the problem. It's no T-45, but it should put you in pretty good shape for exploring the wasteland. ago A fix is something that solves the problem, it doesn't just treat the symptom. Upgraded Combat Armor in all five slots should add another 60-75 defense at a minimum, and once you start finding heavy armor, that number can go well over 100, bringing you over 325 before considering any sort of perks or magazine buffs. So this may be an underwater variant: simply so much crap in the water without it being filtered that the water itself gives off the rads even without being within 5 feet of a barrel. A fix would be some reset to the game files or an update that removes the problem, not spending a precious perk point so you dont have to waste radaway. even being around such barrels above water will only net you rads in the single-digits for the most part, the only exception I've found was an unmarked.pseudo-POOL of toxic sludge and mist somewhere on the western border. Use the search to group cards by keywords like 'heavy gun'. You'd be taking more from the lake itself if you didn't have the perk. Find all Fallout 76 Perks in this Perk Card Database and in our Fallout 76 Perk Planner. Soooo if the "lake" is practically an underwater landfill, you're still taking in rads from the other ♥♥♥♥ in there. For example, if you fight a ghoul while swimming and take a few hits, you'll still get the rads from the ghoul. I'm going to assume the perk makes ONLY THE RADS FROM SWIMMING ITSELF go away, not rads from anything else. :-/ Now things as armors/clothes that say give more to agility and other ones. Doesn't matter if it's a lake, or off the coast. Am I missing something here I still take rad damage when in water in it. ![]() ![]() Therefore if it's not a bug, then here's my guess: Water in general, unless in specific areas where it's being treated, gives you rads. And also I found this post after googling it, because the same thing happened to me. Well the thing is, the perk flat out says you're immune to taking rads while swimming. ![]()
